Clinical Psychologist
Gates Psychology was established in 2005 by Karen Gates, Director.
Karen is a friendly and approachable Clinical Psychologist who is committed to using her skills and experience to help people find individualised solutions for their difficulties. Karen has a broad range of experience, great expertise and is passionate about working with people in all their variety and complexity.
Karen graduated with a First Class Psychology Honours Degree from Flinders University followed by a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Adelaide. She is a nationally registered Clinical Psychologist and member of both the Australian Psychological Society and their specialised College of Clinical Psychologists. Karen has had long-standing membership with the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
During her career, Karen has worked in varied mental health settings. Today, Karen is the Director of Gates Psychology located in the heart of Cairns and she works with people to maximise their happiness and well-being.
